ABSENCES
Parents/carers are required to inform the
school office of the reason for absence as soon as possible. This may be by
letter, in person or by telephone. Failure to do so will result in an
UNAUTHORISED ABSENCE BEING RECORDED.
In the interest
of pupil security, ABSENCE SHOULD BE REPORTED TO THE SCHOOL OFFICE (BY
TELEPHONE or IN PERSON) BEFORE SCHOOL COMMENCES ON THE MORNING OF ABSENCE.
Holidays in term time
Parents/carers may
request
of the Head Teacher up to two weeks’ absence for their child in any one
year. A holiday form must be completed . These are available from the
school office.
Following new government legislation, fines of £50 or
£100 can be imposed by the Local Authority for
UNAUTHORISED ABSENCE. This would include taking more
than ten days holiday in a school year.
